About Cinepedia

Digital projection in cinema didn’t just happen.  It was the result of an intense, innovative and collaborative effort across the entertainment industry.  Digital cinema is not only secure, but it was designed to preserve the fidelity of picture and sound as intended by the director, in what is commonly called “preservation of creative intent”.  It is this quality, in combination with the spectacle of scale, by which cinema retains its value as the premier showcase for motion pictures. Cinepedia educates the innovative technology that enable the unique features of digital cinema.

Cinepedia is loaded with information and even some advice, but it comes with a disclaimer.  Any reference to specific companies, products or services do not represent promotion, recommendation, or endorsement.  If you act on the information or advice given in Cinepedia, the responsibility for your actions lie with you.

The site is designed for translation into over 100 languages.  I hope you enjoy learning more about cinema.
